JB Marks Local Municipality is a local municipality of South Africa. It was established after the August 2016 local elections by the merging of Tlokwe Local Municipality and Ventersdorp Local Municipality.
Tlokwe municipality covers a jurisdictional area of approximately 2500 square km. It is situated about 100 km south west of Johannesburg along the main N12 route to Kimberely and Cape Town.
Divided into 26 wards, the jurisdictional area includes neighborhoods such as Lindequisdrift, Venterskroon, Friderickstadt, Boskop, Vyfhoek, Matlwang, Ikageng, Promosa, Mohadin, Dassierand, Bult and such other similar uptown suburbs that all together make up the city of Potchefstroom.
